Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste - see notes for a salt-free options

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine all the spices and mix well until evenly distributed.
  • Store the taco seasoning in an airtight container in a cool, dry place until ready to use.

Notes

  • This homemade taco seasoning is customizable, so feel free to adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
    • If you like it spicier, add more cayenne pepper or chili powder. Conversely, if you prefer it milder, reduce the amount of chili powder or omit the cayenne pepper altogether.
  • If you're looking for a sodium-free option, simply omit the salt or replace it with a salt-free seasoning blend like No-Salt or Morton’s Salt Substitute
