Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water or chicken broth
- Juice of 2 limes about 3 ounces
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water or chicken broth.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Once cooked, remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
